Ed is a well accomplished senior business executive who has consistently led, built and transformed organizations. Most recently, Ed served as the Chairman and CEO of the Board of Derma Sciences Inc., a publicly held corporation with products for tissue regeneration and advanced wound care. Under Ed’s direction and leadership the Company grew from under $5 million in sales with less than 10 employees to become a leader in its industry with revenues fast approaching $100 million and over 250 employees.
Ed’s dynamic approach is strategic, but also imaginative and creative and he is not afraid to take a risk. He is tireless and has literally travelled the globe to identify and bring to market innovative products that truly make a real difference in patient’s lives.
When Ed started at Derma Sciences, the Company had one product, sold in just a few Eastern states. During his tenure, the company established a global presence with sales, manufacturing, marketing and distribution operations worldwide. Today, the Company has a full portfolio of Advanced and Traditional wound care products representing over two thousand SKUs with a number of these products achieving market leader status in their categories.
During his career, Quilty has been CEO of four publically traded healthcare companies. He has led and managed numerous M&A transactions and financings with a total value of over $2 billion.

Mr. Quilty served as Chairman of the Board of Palatin Technologies, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company specializing in peptide drug design for diagnostic and therapeutic agents. He was President/CEO of MedChem Products, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of specialty medical products which was acquired by C. R. Bard. He served as President / CEO of Life Medical Sciences, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of specialty medical products including wound healing agents. Life Medical Sciences was purchased by MedChem Products, Inc. and Ed became CEO of the combined company.
His career started with Baxter/American Hospital Supply in 1974 and he held a number of sales, marketing and executive positions. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri State University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Ohio University.
