John Gibbs, MD, FACS
Dr. Gibbs is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery, a Professor of Surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo and serves as Chair for the Division of Surgical Oncology for Kaleida Health at Buffalo General Hospital.
He is also a Vice Chair for Research and Associate Program Director in the Department of Surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo. His previous appointment was the Chief of GI Surgery & Endoscopy at Roswell Institute of Cancer Research. Dr. Gibbs holds an advanced administrative degree in Health Care Management from Harvard University. His area of clinical interests lies in the management of complex gastrointestinal cancers. His laboratory researches focuses on developing adoptive dendritic cell immunotherapy against pancreatic cancer. Dr. Gibbs is actively committed to professional education through national meetings and lectures and has been recognized on multiple occasions by the medical students and surgical trainees for teaching excellence.
